About the company
Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a decentralized, permissionless naming system built on the Ethereum blockchain that enables human-readable names (like "myname.eth") to be linked to standard Ethereum addresses and other distributed systems. As one of the first protocols built on Ethereum, ENS has enabled over 3 million registered .eth names, and over another 20 million ENS names from teams such as Coinbase, Uniswap, and Linea, as well as integrations with hundreds of other apps, wallets, protocols, and browsers in the crypto ecosystem. ENS Labs has been driving the core development of the ENS protocol since 2018. We created the ENS app, open-source libraries, and core smart contracts. We are on a mission to make crypto-powered experiences as easy and accessible as browsing the web. Join us as we build the next iteration of our protocol, ENSv2, and pioneer a more decentralized, flexible, and scalable ENS for the future
Job Summary
What You'll Do
šDesign, implement, and optimize Zero-Knowledge proof systems (such as zk-SNARKs or zk-STARKs) to improve the privacy, scalability, and performance of the ENS platform. šCollaborate with the product and engineering teams to develop privacy-preserving features for ENS users, ensuring that sensitive data is protected while maintaining decentralization. šWork closely with Ethereum and blockchain engineers to integrate ZK solutions with existing Ethereum smart contracts, layer-2 protocols, and other decentralized systems. šImplement Zero-Knowledge scalability solutions to optimize ENS performance, ensuring security and integrity through testing and auditing cryptographic proofs and smart contracts. šWork closely with other engineers to ensure seamless integration of ZK features across the ENS platform. šContribute to the ENS community and the broader Ethereum ecosystem by sharing knowledge about ZK technologies, best practices, and new developments in privacy and scalability solutions.
Who You Are
š3+ years of experience with Zero-Knowledge proofs or cryptographic tech in blockchain or distributed systems. šProficient in ZK protocols and privacy-enhancing cryptographic techniques. šHands-on experience with Ethereum smart contracts, Layer-2 solutions, and blockchain tech. šStrong understanding of Ethereum, DeFi, and Web3 ecosystems. šExcellent problem-solving skills, applying ZK to privacy, scalability, and security challenges. šExperience designing and implementing cryptographic solutions in decentralized systems. šStrong communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
